YFC reaches young people everywhere, working together with the local church and other like-minded partners to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to prayer and the Word of God, passion for sharing the love of Christ and commitment to social involvement.

The mission of YFC Polk is to reach every at-risk kid one at a time. Every week we meet teenagers in juvenile detention centers, institutions, alternative schools, and high risk neighborhoods. Not only do we introduce kids to Jesus, but we also continue to disciple them and meet all of their holistic needs whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual.

How are we doing?

According to recent census figures, there were over 10,000  delinquent/at-risk teenagers residing in Polk County.

Each week Youth for Christ of Polk County, through institutional programs, neighborhood outreach, camping experiences, rallies, and high school and middle school ministries, sees an average of 544 kids.

Last year 8375 kids were given the opportunity to respond to Christ.  392 of those kids made a first-time commitment to follow  Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

During the year 341 of these new Christians were followed up and mentored through Bible studies, one-to-one contact, Churches and small groups for Spritual Growth.
